Hello JSmith,
Thank-you for your question.
There is a known issue with the ZPX (Short for Zap-fix) ZOE feature, which on some machines it gets conflicted with other OS DLLs:
Open the ZPX Options, and select the QTP OCR as the Default Engine, restart ZPX – This should fix the issue – If you need to use the ZPX’ ZOE please continue to read.
Basically to avoid receiving the OS Run-time Debugger message it is best to remove it completely from the specific machine, then we can see the real issue why ZPX actually fails to run.
After you’ll remove the OS Debugger, please restart ZPX use it and save its appeared error;
Please submit a Maintenance Request at Zap’s portal User Zone (If you still do not have an account at Zap’s Portal please contact Zap at http://www.zaptechnologies.com/contact-us).
Note: Removing the OS Debugger from the machine will also remove it from QTP, after we’ll understand the real issue why ZPX closes you can install back the QTP Debugger by executing the QTP installation file and choosing "Repair".
Thanks,
Sasha
