Want to generate a test report

Hello Zap,

We’ve recorded some very long tests but they are all icons no script lines – Is there a way to generate some scripting from the tests (We need to show it to our R&D team and management so they will understand our recorded tests)?

Thank-you for your question.

There are 2 options to generate the script-lines out of recorded tests in Zapfree (AKA ZAPTEST Community Edition):

1. If you will try the ZAPTEST full enterprise edition, this edition is the one which you can generate a test as a script in VBScript (Or JavaScript):
It has also the Step view in its editor, which will appear as in Zapfree, but the recorded steps will also translate into testing script (Which a simple copypaste of it to a Word file can be send to other companies’ employees).

2. In the new Zapfree (And also full ZAPTEST) versions, starting from version 15.0.87 there is a new feature named ZAPDOC:
By using this feature you can generate RTF andor HTML reports which will describe in meaningful language (Not a professional scripting language) the actual recorded steps.
