Hello BarbJack,
Thank-you for your question.
Basically there may be 4 main reasons for such occurrence:
1. It may be the machine you’ve installed ZPX on it is not fully compatible with ZPX, please check if your machine consists of the following configurations to be able to run ZPX freely:
ZAP-fiX minimum requirements:
Computer/Processor: PC with a Pentium III or higher (Pentium IV or higher recommended) microprocessor.
Operating System: • Windows 2000 Professional-Service Pack 4, Update
Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4
• Windows XP Professional 32-Bit Edition-Service Pack 2
or Service Pack 3
• Windows XP Professional 64-Bit Edition-Service Pack 2
• Windows Server 2003 32-Bit Edition-Service Pack 2
• Windows Server 2003 64-Bit Edition-Service Pack 2
• Windows Server 2003 R2 (32-Bit x86)
• Windows Server 2008 32-Bit Edition
• Windows Server 2008 64-Bit Edition
• Windows 7 32/64-Bit Edition.
Memory: Minimum of 2 GB.
Color Settings: Minimum of High Color (16 bit)
Graphics Card: Graphics card with 4 MB video memory (8 MB and above recommended)
Free Hard Disk Space: 650 MB of free disk space for application files and folders
2. ZPX requires at least 2GB free memory (RAM) during its execution, if you have other applicationsutilities which consume the memory of the machine ZPX will work slower then usual and it also may get stuck.
3. It is very possible there are applications (Or utilities) which may conflict with ZPX execution and further use, we already know there is a conflict between ZPX and the Avira Anti-virus (If Avira Anti-virus installed in your machine please contact Zap for a workaround solution how to use ZPX with the Avira Anti-virus).
4. The machine uses ZPX (Zap-fix in short) supposes to be dedicated to functional testing only, therefore the machine should not contain any unnecessary applications instead of HP QuickTest Pro (QTP) and ZPX:
If the machine does contain other applications they may damage the execution of ZPX, please uninstall all unnecessary applications so this machine will be used only for functional testing.
Thanks,
Sasha
