Hello AlishaM,
Thank-you for your question.
First let’s check the following example to understand the importance of restoring a previous OR (Object Repository) copy:
Let’s assume we have a repository populated by objects.
A human error might cause an unwanted change and then a save of the new and incorrect repository.
In this example we deleted all object but the CRM label, by opening QTP OR you can see our repository lost all object but one.
In such a case we are able to use the ‘Restore last repository’ to salvage our objects.
Simply click the arrow button next to ‘Save’ and select the restoration option.
ZPX (Zap-fix) will revert to the previous version of the repository and execute a message if it was successful.
Now we can see in QTP OR that all of the objects we’ve lost have been restored.
To restore the objects in the ZPX repository simply press the refresh button and click the ‘OK’ button when a message will be prompted.
And as you can see in ZPX all of our objects have been recovered.
Hope this helped to understand the ZPX OR restoration issue.
Please contact Zap for further help.
Thanks,
Sasha
