reading XML using ImportGlobalVars

Is there an example XML file that shows the correct protocol to use for the XML? The documentation PDF doesn’t show what the XML is supposed to look like.
Also, does the path have to be on the local computer or can it be a URI?

Here is example of basic global variable xml:

{
“test”: “123”
}

Please note that ZAPTEST Free edition not allows to use global variables. Refer differences between Free and Enterprise edition on the page below:
