Hi, I’m new to ZapTest and have recently downloaded the Free Edition.

I have successfully created my first test script using the beginner tutorial video. However, i’m having difficulty connecting/configuring my android phone and run ZapTest on it. I have tried the two how-to videos below but have not had any success.

      – How to connect Android device
      – How to install Android drivers

So basically, when the android device is connected via usb to the PC:
      – It appears on the pc device manager as ‘Sony Z5’ rather than ‘Android ADB Interface’.
      – ZAPTest device manager displays ‘Device are not found’
      – I get a popup to ‘Connect to ZAPTEST Agent’ that asks me to enter server, password, scaling etc

Could i have some direction on how i can run tests on android device please.

        Hello, thanks for using ZAPTEST

Basically all you need is to install USB (ADB) driver for your phone on your machine and allow USB debugging on your Android phone in “Developer options”. Here is link of “how-to” enable “developer options”.
After connection you should “allow” access from PC on your phone’s screen.
You should see your phone in list of devices in Windows Device Manager (in USB tab) then.

        Hope that helps.
        Thanks,
        ZAPTEST Team
