Hello JSmith,
Thank-you for your question.
If you familiar already with the Cross Platform feature in ZAPTEST this is just the same in Zapfree (AKA ZAPTEST Community Edition):
Basically if you record a test you can choose to run it in more then a single Browser, this will enable you to check if your test also works as expected in other Browsers’ types.
The windows you’ve probably encountered when trying to enable the Cross Platform feature appear if the test you’ve created was not recorded but rather you used the Workbench to scan the GUI and then add the objects manually to the testing script:
In such case the test’s environment was not set (Environment = Web or Windows based test), which means Zapfree will need you to specify a few settings in order it to add the proper Launch methods (The only intrusive to your test will be after all the settings will be set properly a new line of code with the Launch method will be added to your testing script as a new first line of code);
This Launch method will execute properly the application you want to test and will enable the Cross Platform feature to be enabled for your testing.
Please contact Zap for further help.
Thanks,
Sasha
