      Hello Zap,

We have several objects with number of identical properties (Including their names), when we add them to the QTP Object repository using Zap-fix, QTP has difficulties to identify these objects:
How can we use Zap-fix to identify each object separately?

      Thanks.

        Hello JSmith,

        Thank-you for your question.

Basically you can use several ZPX (Zap-fix) build-in properties to get each similar object with its own unique recognition – Here are some of the main ZPX properties you can use:

        – "Appearance" – With its sub-property "Order", you can specify each similar object by its ordinal unique index number.

        – "X", "Y", "Width" and "Height" – With these properties you can specify the exact unique location of each object (Note: It is best to specify the coordinates after opening the AUT (Application Under test) in its maximized size (Full screen)) – To get the exact coordinates of an object you can use the "XY Tool" in the upper-left ZPX toolbar.

        Hope this helped

Please contact Zap for further help.

        Thanks,
        Sasha
