Hello Curtis,
Thank-you for your question.
This is a common issue, and it happens when an application crashes due to conflicts with other already running features (Including OS features) – Please read more about it at the following Microsoft page:
http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/5hs4b7a6.aspx
To fix this issue, we highly recommend to install and run ZPX (With QTP) on a dedicated machine which only has OS and some minor utilities installed in it:
Please try to install and run ZPX on such clean machine, mostly this issue will not appear there.
Another solution we can try is to locate the feature that causes ZPX to crash, and because it is very difficult to locate such running feature please download the "Process Explorer" to explore the entire processes running with ZPX simultaneously on the same machine (You can download this utility at: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb896653.aspx);
Start to kill all processes on the machine (Start with the ones which not related to OS), and after each kill execute again ZPX and check if it still crashes, if not you know you’ve found the process of the feature which causes ZPX to crach, and if you are able to remove it please do so and test ZPX again.
This is a very long and difficult solution, so the best is to install ZPX and QTP on a dedicated machine (Best to format and clean it before installing ZPX on it).
Hope I’ve managed to help you:
Please contact Zap for further questions, orand to help solving the mentioned issue.
Thanks,
